Perfect intro to Lyon

I wasn't quite sure what to expect since the tour description was vague, but this ended up being everything I hoped for. Our guide took us up the funicular to the Basilica, gave us a great history of the city from the gorgeous view, then gave us time inside the Basilica. We saw the ruins, went through the museum, then hit a bunch of things down in old Lyon including the Guignol museum and a trip through a few traboules. Dadic was full of tips for other places to see and where to eat. I strongly recommend this tour for your first full day in Lyon!

We can’t give a strong enough recommendation for you to make this tour a part of your trip to Lyon. The private aspect of this tour allowed us to stay places we wanted to and move past some areas we had seen previously.
We never felt rushed and were able to see everything at a pace we were quite happy to make us come away feeling like we got to learn and see all that we wanted without feeling like we just “moved past” things like can happen with some city tours.
We wholeheartedly recommend making this a part of your vacation if you are wanting to learn more about the history of Lyon, which is truly more fascinating than we thought before we got there!
Fun fact: if you book this on the first of the month, you can go in to the Roman museum for free!
