Behind a façade still reminiscent of Aix-les-Bains's heyday as a spa resort, this stylish eatery, complete with a wine bar, has lost none of its period cachet. It is run by a vital chef who often puts in an appearance on the restaurant floor. His down-to-earth bistro-style cuisine with a twist uses seasonal and sometimes premium produce (Angus beef, Corsican meagre etc). Attentive service. The enclosed tree-lined terrace to the rear is charming.

The chef uses local and seasonal ingredients: white asparagus, mimosa condiment and a mousseline sauce with sweet spices; veal with morel mushrooms and grilled shallot confit… Service with a smile.

This restaurant is a family affair for the Campanellas, with Cédric having taken over from his brother Boris at the reins of this converted grocer's shop. The cuisine demonstrates a sense of precision, and comprises modern, ever-inventive dishes. One of the best spots in town.
