Fairy tale castle

Visited this chateau on a post card, blue sky day. The chateau is set on the Loire River on a lazy meandering part of the river which serves as a moat for the castle.
One of the more fascinating parts of the castle was in an area where you can go right under the roof. This showed the massive construction needed to build and support the huge towers and slate roofs of these chateaux.
An amusing display was a dining room setting displaying several dozen automatons which are moving displays meant to amuse and delight adults at dinner parties. The bigger and more elaborate ones were highly prized.

Es uno de los castillos que más me han gustado en el mundo, por dentro y por fuera. Hay que dedicarle como mínimo un día entero. Vale la pena!
