Disappointing

This was not at all as advertised. We had to climb down a ladder to the boat which had seen better days. Our captain did not speak English despite that being promised. There was no wine (though promised just the day before) much less water. The views were lovely and I’m glad we got on the river but for what we were charged this was a disappointment.

We’ve booked an early morning boat trip (2h) with many stops and one at the feet of the Eiffel Tower.
Great experience! Probably one of my best experiences in Paris. Also the staff is particularly friendly :)

BEWARE!!! After making a reservation & prepaying, this company DID NOT SHOW UP FOR OUR RESERVATION!!!!
We make a booking online, paid & received a confirmation for our boat tour reservation. They day of our reservation, no one showed up at the meeting point (which is a 30 minute taxi from the center of Paris). When I called the company, I received no answer - so I continued to call until I reached someone who informed me they made a mistake and no one was available for our reservation.
The person I spoke to in the phone said they would refund and reschedule the tour & I would receive an email confirmation. This did not happen. We will now have to dispute the charge through the credit card company.
This is an entire scam… DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

I am sure that the guys who run this boat cruise are nice guys who mean well and generally run a decent business. BUT for the time being, something has gone SERIOUSLY WRONG with this company.
I should have read the earlier reviews and so I can only blame myself for what happened. I booked in June for a July proposal private cruise. My partner loves this sort of thing and I had made subtle hints about what was in store. We were both very excited and I had planned the whole thing in fine detail - you know, it's one of the most important moments in your life.
The company confirmed the booking and later the pick up location, even congratulating me on the week of the proposal about the upcoming engagement. But they never answered my calls when I rang to confirm the finer details and were reticent to reply to any of my messages about extras. Alarm bells rang but I foolishly decided to ignore them - I had had the booking confirmed after all.
Woke up on the morning of the proposal to find an email saying that issues over the weekend meant the company unable to offer a cruise until September. I called to confirm. No answer. They have promised me my money back over WhatsApp. I am awaiting repayment.
Ended up proposing to my partner in a restaurant I hastily booked. Special for us, but not the perfect proposal - sunset, eiffel tower, champagne. Had I been told about the issues weeks before I could have gone with another company. But they left me with no choice but to abandon my seine proposal as everywhere else was booked up on the day, and besides I had little money to spend on that given the costs of Lakana.
I am convinced the company knew they had problems that probably could not be solved before the booked appointment. Better to be honest with clients than to keep them in the lurch. Especially over such important life moments.
Thoroughly disappointed. I did not want to leave a review as I don't generally wrote reviews and the team at Lakana seem like good people. But this is no way to run a business. You must have more respect for your customers.
To add salt into the wound I got a message this morning thanking me for jy custom and telling me staff had enjoyed hosting us.
