    Itinerary

This is a typical itinerary for this product

    Stop atPalace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles in true royal fashion. As your guide shows you around a carefully curated selection of the palace’s 700 rooms, you’ll hear stories of the Sun King, Louis XIV, his successors, their queens, mistresses, and courtiers – including Marie Antoinette and other notable figures. Versailles had its heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Sun King elevated Louis XIII’s humble hunting lodge into the official seat of the French court – and 300 years later, the palace has lost little of its glamorous excess.

    2 hours (approx.)Admission included

    Stop atLa Galerie des Glaces

Visit the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors inside Versailles while our passionate English-speaking guide marvels you with stories of the excesses of royal life, peaking under the Sun King, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

5 minutes (approx.)No admission tickets required

    Stop atThe Royal Chapel

Visit the opulent Royal Chapel during your tour of the Palace of Versailles.

5 minutes (approx.)No admission tickets required

Stop atJardins du Chateau de Versailles

If option selected, you'll have the opportunity to freely explore the gardens at your own pace and enjoy the musical show inside the gardens of Versailles. The Gardens of the Palace of Versailles were designed by master gardener André Le Nôtre and court painter Charles le Brun, not as a respite from the palace, but as an extension of it – with every bit as much opulence (and intrigue) as the interior.

Highly recommend!

Anaïs was a very informative and interesting guide through the palace! We really enjoyed her commentary and her manner. I’m so glad we did the tour since a lot of the signs in the palace were only in French.

DO NOT BOOK!!!! CHEAPER TO BUY ON PALACE OF VERSAILLES WEBSITE!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS. IT IS A SCAM. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE TOUR GUIDE LIKE OTHER OPTIONS. THESE PEOPLE ALSO CANNOT WAIT FOR 5 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE IN A NEW COUNTRY. LOCATION DISCLOSED WAS IN A VERY WEIRD SPOT, EVEN THE LOCAL TAXI DRIVER COULDN’T FIGURE IT OUT.

Versailles half day

Great tour , our guide Frederic helped us reading the symbolism of the palace . Bringing us back to the way 17 & 18 French century people where living . The palace looks fabulous and the gardens are outstanding

Easier just to take the Metro

I missed the tour because the directions were a bit confusing. If you google the starting point it is in front of the Hyatt Hotel, but the “redemption” point is a church close by. I was early, but I couldn’t find them. Then, they tried to call me 5 minutes before the bus left. I texted right back (see attached image) but they never responded.

I ended up booking a fabulous tour directly from the Palace’s website. It was certainly easier to take the train there than following their poor directions.

Definitely worth going!

The Palace and gardens were all beautiful. We paid for the audio and it was well worth the extra. Tour guide was good and explained everything as we proceeded through the palace. Also, you get to jump the queue as guided tours have a difference entrance. You get to walk the gardens at your own pace.
