    Itinerary

This is a typical itinerary for this product

    Stop atPalace of Versailles

You will be transported back to the Golden Age of France with a trip to the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and emblem of French royalty and extravagance. You will be guaranteed fast-track entry, allowing you to jump the queue and travel in comfort on one of our fully air-conditioned coaches. You will marvel at the breathtaking royal chateau, transformed by the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV in the 1660s from a hunting lodge. Playground of the French monarchs, Versailles was the center of royal and political power until the French Revolution in 1789 which saw Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette forced to return to the capital.

    Stop atThe Royal Chapel

Your audio guide will enable you to discover the State apartments of the King and Queen & the Royal Chapel among others.

    Stop atLa Galerie des Glaces

Discover the Hall of Mirrors, the epitome of French opulence: three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors line the gold-adorned hall and crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling.

Stop atJardins du Chateau de Versailles

You will also be given time to explore the manicured gardens "à la française", which mirrors the splendor of the interior. Designed by the French landscaper André Le Nôtre in 1661 for the King Louis XIV, the 2,000-acre park is an architectural expanse of perspectives, parterres, fountains and groves that since its inception has defined what a French garden should be.

Bonnie_K, Dec 2024

The tour efficiently got us to the venue with tickets and pointed us to the line and told us when to be back. The bus was nice and clean. Versailles castle and garden were beautiful

Find a better option

Steven_G, Dec 2024

Wouldn’t recommend. There are better ways to see the palace and there are surely cheaper ways to get there. All this ends up being is an expensive ride to and from the palace.

Responses from Arnaud B

Bonjour Steven,

Thank you very much for your review. You are right, there are much better way to see the Palace of Versailles. One of them is to buy your ticket online and then decide on a way to get there. The price of the ticket is 21 Euros for the ticket for one adult and free for child. After that depending on how much you spend for transportation, if you choose the train it will cost about 10 Euros for a return ticket from Paris. If you choose Uber or a taxi, it will cost from 55 to 75 Euros one way.

For the 3 of you (2 adults and 1 child), depending from where you are leaving in Paris, you would have paid between 152 Euros and 192 Euros (Tickets and Uber)

By choosing us, you paid 250 Euros. Hence yes, this can be looked at as an expensive ride to and from the Palace. We hope you enjoyed your visit at Versailles and we thank you very much for giving this opportunity to explain others, on the different cheapest ways to go to Versailles. Merci, Arnaud

Average, Not Long Enough, Audio Guide Confusing

LesleyAnne_C, Dec 2024

Visited Spring ‘24 as a couple. Naturally, the Palace is spectacular, as are the beautifully manicured and VAST gardens. . We were offered the free QR code audio guide (and to do this, you need your own headphones so we sprinted back to the hotel to get ours) The guide itself was not in order on screen, and not always clearly marked around the palace, so we spent quite a bit of time back tracking to see what we’d missed. After the transfer from the pick up point, we had approx 1 hour in the Palace and 1 hour in the Gardens, which tbh is about 5% of the time you need. The famous fountains (which are on all the publicity pictures) were not on - apparently they rarely are. However, the art work, painted ceilings, and world famous Hall of Mirrors are incredible. If you’d like a super speedy, see hardly anything, 100 mile an hour trip, then this is the one for you. If you’d actually like to properly see the Palace and Gardens, maybe sit on the terrace steps with the crowd, or grab a coffee in the Angelina café, or wander the famous tree lined groves and vast ornamental ponds, then it’s best to take one if the longer trips, because including travelling time there and back, this one was nowhere near enough for us.

Responses from Arnaud B

Dear Lesley,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your insights and are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.

We understand that the limited time for exploring both the Palace and the Gardens can be frustrating, especially given the vastness and beauty of the site. Your comments regarding the QR code audio guide are valuable, and we will work on improving the clarity and organization of the guide to ensure a smoother experience for future visitors.

Regarding the famous fountains, we apologize for any disappointment. They are indeed a highlight, and we regret that you were not informed about their operating schedule beforehand. We will make sure to provide clearer information about the fountain schedules to our guests in the future.

We acknowledge that a longer visit would allow for a more relaxed and thorough exploration of the Palace and Gardens. We recommend considering one of our extended tours, which allow for more leisurely visits, including time to enjoy the café and other attractions at your own pace.

Your feedback is essential in helping us improve our services. We hope you will consider visiting again with one of our longer tour options for a more satisfying experience.

Thank you once again for your review.

Best regards,

Arnaud
