    Stop atCruise Terminal Le Havre

Your tour starts with a prompt pick-up in Le Havre, either from the cruise port or your hotel. Le Havre, located on the Normandy coast, was a key point during World War II. It was crucial for the Allies in planning and executing the D-Day invasion. As we leave Le Havre, your guide will explain the importance of the region and highlight the brave actions of the Allied forces during the war. This drive offers a glimpse into the rich history you'll experience at the D-Day Landing sites.

Stop atLa Cambe German War Cemetery

At the German Cemetery you'll encounter a different perspective on the events that unfolded during D-Day. Nestled amidst serene landscapes, this solemn resting place bears witness to the sacrifices made on both sides of the conflict. Marked by neatly arranged gravestones, it serves as a poignant reminder of the toll exacted by war.

    Stop atPointe du Hoc

At Pointe du Hoc, you'll find yourself amidst the key events of the D-Day landings. This cliff between Utah and Omaha Beach was a major German defense point. It had strongholds and artillery that posed a real threat to the Allies. On June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers climbed these tall cliffs under heavy fire to secure the area. Their bravery was pivotal for the Normandy invasion's success. Today, you can see the remnants of war, like bomb craters and damaged bunkers, and a monument dedicated to the Rangers. Walking here, you'll truly feel the significance of what happened.

    Stop atOmaha Beach

Omaha Beach, often referred to as "Bloody Omaha," holds a significant place in World War II history. It was one of the primary landing points during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, where the Allied forces faced intense combat, marking it as a pivotal location in the larger campaign. Today, the beach stands as a somber testament to their bravery and sacrifice. As visitors tread its sands, they can reflect on the profound history and pay their respects. At this point during the day we will distribute packed lunches. Our team has personally prepared a homemade baguette lunch for you, alongside which you will receive water and dessert.

At the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, you'll experience a poignant chapter of our tour. Here, amid a tranquil setting, over 9,000 American heroes rest, each having bravely sacrificed during the Normandy invasion. Explore the meticulously maintained rows of white crosses and Stars of David and be awed by the sheer magnitude of the Allies' sacrifice. Each marker lets you marvel at a life devoted to freedom, highlighting the deep scars of war. Inside the Memorial Chapel, a silent sentinel to the fallen, take a moment to reflect, express gratitude, and immerse yourself in the depth of bravery displayed. This sacred ground invites you to deeply connect, remember, and honor the past.

Excellent tour to Normandy

Marvin_R, Dec 2024

Maria, our guide, did an excellent job on this trip. She was very articulate in explaining what it was like on D-Day, including Omaha Beach and the American/German grave sites. Any group she gets assigned to should consider themselves lucky.

Wonderful tour with Bertram!

Tracy_H, Dec 2024

We really enjoyed our guide, Bertram- he obviously loved his job. Meeting the buscwas efficient and easy. The bus was very nice and the lunch was delicious. I especially liked the raspberry macaron. We had plenty of time to see everything. We normally would not spend this much on an excursion- but we definitely enjoyed it.
