Beautiful day in Beaujoulais

Olivier is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Our trip to the beautiful region featured spectacular views, a lovely walk through the medieval town of Oingt along with some great wine tastings.
Perfect visit

Sébastien was phenomenal. So friendly and informative. We loved his family wine in Beaujolais, we could have stayed for days!!
Ok experience. Wish we visited more wineries.

The tour went through some beautiful small villages and the first tasting was at a village wine shop. We were all disappointed because we were expecting to be at wineries. The village was charming, but it’s quite a while before you get your first tasting and to just sit in the back room of a wine shop wasn’t a great experience. The winery visit was a little bit better, family farm in operation for centuries- with really cheap and affordable wines. However, our guide was not very engaging and the whole tour kind of felt like the minimum experience. It’s ok. I’m still glad we did it.

Bonjour LeAnne,
I am Olivier the person who guide you and also the owner of the Kanpai Tours. Thank you very much for your feedback. When I guide, I always try to give the best and I remember very well, you were seated next to me during the all trip and probably you were the person I talked the most during the all tour...
I know, you wanted a full day tour to the Rhone Valley and unfortunately this tour to Beaujolais was the only one available... We started the wine-tasting at 10:45 am which is a good time and the program was respected in all its points. I can understand that you were expecting a different experience (more wineries and less villages) but sincerey I find you quite "tough" with your comments. Olivier
We enjoyed!

We decided have a wine tour on our 4 days stay at Lyon. We didn’t have too much time so we looked for a half day tour.
Oliveier was very nice from the first e-mail to the very end of our tour.
His English is excellent and his knowledge and passion to wine is tremendous.
It was nice to meet local winners and actually see the whole process of wine making.
Everyone will love this!

It was such a fun tour, nobody should miss it. Olivier took us to private vineyards where the owner himself talked to us about the entire process from planting the grapes, to drinking the wine. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I recommend it to everyone.
