Day trip to D-Day memorial in Normandy
Leah W, Dec 2024
The tour was perfect! Gilles gave us such a range of history, I learned so much! The drive from Paris was 3.5 hr, which made it 7 hr of driving total. The stops on the tour were all well planned. If I had one, small negative, I would've liked to spend a little more time at Omaha beach. Overall, a very pleasant trip that I highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor, don’t miss this tour with Gilles!
Adventures_of_Jenna, Dec 2024
For a roughly 12 hr day, it flew by. Our guide, Gilles, made the long drive interesting with his storytelling and educational buildup. Having a guide was most helpful with visiting the various sites and knowing exactly where to go and how to efficiently move through the day. So many touching and heart warming moments. The food was delicious at our lunch at L’Ephemere, but the history of the family owned castle was just as impressive. Ending the day at the American Cemetery was emotional. Gilles shared many facts we wouldn’t have known walking around on our own. It was an insightful and moving day made entertaining by Gilles’s friendliness and humor. The tour exceeded our expectations, thanks Gilles!

A must see tour of the sacrifice 10,000s of young Americans made.
JP12345678, Dec 2024
Gilles, our tour guide, was excellent. He gave us a lot of history using maps and flip carts on our drive from Paris to Omaha Beach and all throughout the day. Once on the beach we realized how long it was and the enormity of it at low tide. At Pointe du Hoc we realized that the cliffs were 175' high with Germans firing machine guns down to the beach slaughtering our boys as they hit the beach. Our visit to the American Cemetery was heart wrenching to see all the young Americans who died at Normandy to keep all of us speaking German today.

Great trip to Normandy!
Carolyn_C, Dec 2024
Gilles was extremely knowledgeable about the events leading up to the Normandy invasion and afterwards. His English was excellent so we could understand him easily. We visited the sites listed and because we were a private tour of two we could manage the time as needed for the different sites. Went to a lovely place for lunch L’Empherere(?) Comfortable Merecedes SUV. Would use him and Viator again.
