The chef didn't show up

We travelled to Marseille from Cassis only for this experience, that was a surprise gift for my boyfriend's 30th. The chef never showed up. When I called his boss, the boss gave me his number and told me to call him instead of calling him himself. He didn't respond. At least I got a refund.

Chef Sidi met us in his restaurant promptly at 1700 and for the first hour we went over French Provencal wines, tastings and pairing ideas. He was extremely knowledgable and passionate about wine. Then to the kitchen where the other staff were prepping for the evenings customers. We felt like we were part of the show. He would demonstrate and we would follow. We had a very enjoyable time learning about his culture and cuisine and how it meshed with French cuisine. As the guests arrived we were summonsed back to the kitchen as our creations came to life. We left around 2200 so we had a good 5 hours at his establishment. We dined with the other customers as his wait staff Ali made drinks and catered to all our needs. Shout out to Julian, sous chef as he was a great help prepping nearly everything, as he allowed Sid to be with us most of the time. We sort of felt like we were part of the family as we left.
