Great variety of food!

Freedom36285523823, Dec 2024

Excellent selection of food and wine. Had a great time trying foods from local places in Paris that I would have never found on my own.

Great food tour!

Rachel was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about Paris, the restaurants, the food and the history behind it all! She was great!

Underwhelming, try a different tour or area

It was a bit underwhelming. Not at all like the experience we had in Florence. Two of the places we went couldn't take us and we luckily got into a tea room and sampled a tea instead of a liquor. The second place that was closed we didn't have another option so she walked us into a market but didn't lead us to getting anything specific it was mostly fruits, veggies and seafood. I also wish there was a bit more history/fun facts. She gave us some quality info but felt like we could have definitely learned more.

Responses from Adriana G

Hi Regina! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear that this tour didn't meet your expectations. We were also very disappointed to hear about the unexpected closure of two of the shops we like to include on our tour. That rarely happens, but it seems like both shops were forced to close for technical/construction work that day. That obviously had an impact on our usual itinerary and the quality of your experience and although I understand that they were not as appreciated as the original stops, sounds like our guide quickly adapted and took you to our alternative shops. It's also very difficult to compare a tour in Paris to a tour in Florence. We're so proud of our tours in Rome and Florence and in all the other cities where we operate. Our food tours take place in different countries that have different cultures and history, we explore different neighbourhoods and each of our tours has a different approach to the food history and the local's choices and habits in that specific area. Your feedback is invaluable to us, as it highlights areas where we can improve. We’ve taken the time to discuss your issue within our team and we'll make sure to remedy this type of problems in the future to avoid any inconvenience that might have an impact on our clients' experience with us. We hope to welcome you again on one of our tours in Europe!

Highlight of out trip to Paris

Resort60751410536, Dec 2024

The Paris Left Bank Food & Wine Tour was the highlight of my family's trip to Paris. Our guide, Rachel, was knowledgeable, personable, and made our experience memorable. The tour was scheduled for 3 hours, but with the amount of explorations, discussions, learning, food sampling, and generally having a wonderful time, ours lasted for 4 hours - we are very grateful to Rachel for accommodating us and all our questions. The places she took us to were unique - either one of the best in their class and/or special in what they offered or their history - we would not have been able to reproduce this tour on our own. Among the places we visited were a boulangerie, fromagerie, chocolaterie, a caviar vendor, a Basque themed bistronomy establishment. The tour was capped by visiting an exquisite macron shop. Rachel also showed us a lot of memorable locations around Boulevard Sint-Germain during the tour allowing us to soak up a lot of left bank history. We are so glad we did this tour, and very appreciative to Rachel for making it such a memorable experience.

A must do when visiting Paris!

Wendy P, Dec 2024

It gives you a different perspective of Paris, the history, the architecture, the food, little secrets you may not have known. Marie and Felix were our guides, we felt like we were visiting friends in Paris. They were both full of positive energy and so knowledgeable and brilliant. You can feel their passion in their work. We appreciated these two wonderful people. Go do this tour.
