Great tour!
ciaraow, Mar 2025
Fabulous way to spend a few hours in this oasis away from the crowds in other parts of Paris. We signed up for this tour on a whim as we wanted something a little different and we throughly enjoyed it. Our guide Becky was a delight - she shared so many interesting stories with us about the cemetery, its background and the many characters buried within it (some well-known and others less so but just as interesting). Pere Lachaise is vast and so it was hugely helpful to have Becky with us and able to answer all our questions. The crepe at the end is also a nice touch - I highly recommend the savoury one!
Don't miss this site in Paris!

I have wanted to tour Pere Lachaise Cemetery for awhile but I was intimated by the sheer size of the cemetery. This tour was perfect and did a great job in synthesizing the history and all the graves located in this area. Our tour guide, Becky, was amazing. She expertly led us through the maze of graves, while providing historical context on the development of the cemetery, the procedures followed in the cemetery, and showing us the more important gravesites. We ended the tour by having a crepe at a local cafe outside the cemetery. It was a nice way to end an informative and fun afternoon.

Icons, history and epic love stories and crepes combine for an excellent adventure.

Filled with flavourful flare of the Paris rich and famous, their histories, complicated love lives and complex French history, the Pere Lachaise Cemetery walking tour is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Paris. From the sordid to the celebrated. Love stories that transcend time. Superstition. Tradition. Lose. Hero’s and villains. Becky covered it all. Bring your walking shoes, a water bottle and your sense of wonder where history and the human story combine. Great for families!! Plus the creperie at the end was fantastic!
