You will pass through several villages in the Rhône Valley on the way. We will stop to admire the vines planted in the very steep slopes.

We will make our first stop near the village of Chavanay for a first tasting in a wine estate. Tasting between 4 and 6 wines.

Northern Rhône valley wine tour and tasting

Our tour was a very pleasant and informative wine tasting experience. Our guide was very fluent speaking English. She was excellent communicating about wine growing agriculture and wine tasting. She made the experience fun and informative.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the Rhône experience due to a schedule conflict, but Justine was able to fit me in the next day for a full day in the Beaujolais region which was fantastic! Julie showed us through some beautiful villages on the way to our first tasting, and the first vineyard was phenomenal. I loved every wine that we tasted, and it was difficult to choose which one to bring home with me. We then went for lunch in a fancy establishment with terrific views of the landscape - this place was extremely well-priced for what we had; what should have been an 80 or 90€ 3-course meal was only 30€! Afterwards, we went to our final tasting which was excellent as well. At both vineyards, we got to learn more about the production processes, how they differ, and how the terroir changes based on what part of the region that we were in. I definitely wouldn't have found these experiences on my own, so booking with Justine made it easy, comfortable, and a great time :)
Outstanding and informative wine tour

Justine was a sensational guide who brought excellent knowledge and depth to the tour. She took us onto smaller producers whose wine was delicious. We tried the full gamut of wines including Hermitage. We would highly recommend this tour.

Justine was a sensational host. Her passion was very infectious and she answered all of our questions. She adapted to some unexpected traffic conditions to ensure we got the most out of our trip. This was easily the highlight not only of our trip to Lyon but in France more broadly.
