Highlight of our Honeymoon!

jebady16, Oct 2024

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! My husband and I took this tour on our honeymoon and it was amazing from start to finish. Jeremie reached out a couple weeks ahead of our tour to ask about our personal preferences for wine and if there was anything special we wanted to see. I reached out a couple days before the tour with some extra requests including finding some delicious beef bourguignon and getting some time in the actual vineyards. Jeremie was very gracious and rearranged the schedule a bit to accommodate our requests. It was clear that he spent a lot of time thinking about our preferences and arranging a day that was perfectly suited for us.

He picked us up from our hotel in a very comfortable van and started by taking us on a drive through the vineyards in the area. He also gave us a quick history lesson and overview of the Cote D’Or. We went to our first winemaker where we got to meet the winemaker himself. Jeremie translated into English for us and we tasted 8 whites. We wanted to buy a few bottles and Jeremie arranged shipping for us throughout the day which was amazingly helpful. We had a tasting with lunch (excellent beef bourguignon as requested!) at another winemaker and had an excellent tour of the cellars. We had tastings at two more winemakers after lunch, including an impromptu stop to accommodate our request to try tasting an older white wine (hard to find, but Jeremie did it!!).

Finally, Jeremie took us to a great spot in the vineyards and took a few photos of my husband and I which will hang on our wall in our home.

Truly, this tour was the highlight of our two week trip to France. Jeremie knows an incredible amount about wine and Burgundy. We learned so much from him and after tasting almost 30 wines (!!) we know so much more about our own palette. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
