Golden Stones Wine Tour
Colin_P, Dec 2024
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this experience. The vineyard we went to was small, family owned and run, and the wine was incredible. We ended up buying four bottles to take home. Great experience 10/10!
Too rushed
Jackie_E, Dec 2024
We felt that the morning was too rushed and we would have appreciated a little food between tastings. However, the tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable.
Beautiful scenery, good wines with a very knowledgeable guide
Vacationer274913, Dec 2024
We visited one of the villages of the region, our guide let us test white and red wines he brought with him. White wine was from Chardonnay grapes and was especially good. Then we visited an old family winery run by six generations, saw the vineyards, tested nice white and red wines, together with cheese and sausison. Had a good explanation by owner of the winery of the process of growing and making wines. It was a very informative and pleasant trip.
Enjoyable wine tasting on a very hot day!

On 23 August our guide Francois both drove us in a comfortable air conditioned minibus at 34deg and at the same time took us through the whole process and history of Beaujolais wine production and its history. He was very knowledgable in every detail. We had three stops, two for wine tasting and the other at a stroll around one of the prettiest villages in France. The first wine tasting stop was outside a lovely church with beautiful views over the rolling terrain. The wines were good too. The second wine tasting was at a vineyard and this was also very interesting and with good tasting also. Can definitely recommend this trip and full marks to Francois.
Wine tasting in Beaugolais

It was a really nice experience made by our tour guide Raichel, she made it easy to follow since she is speaking in English (as a native speaker) and in French when was needed. We had two times wine tasting with explanations about the area, the culture, the process of making wine. We had a tour in a wine production, that has a history of making wine since 4 generations. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful villages in Beaugolais area.
