Imagine walking through a garden above the streets

unclelouie, Dec 2024

We so enjoyed this walk in a garden two floors above the streets of Paris. It

starts close to Opera Bastille and for at least a mile and half you walk through

neighborhoods with the Paris streets below you. The gardens are wide enough

so that it did not feel crowded despite walking with Paris apartments sometimes

to both your left and right. It is so cool and better than the Highline in NYC.

Hi. You are reviewing a tour, not a place...

Wonderful off-the-beaten path tour with a well-loved local

ATXletsgo, Dec 2024

We enjoyed a tour of the Bastille area and the Aligre Market with Solene. She helped us select a tour that matched with our interests and was manageable and enjoyable for our multi-generational group. We visited local shops, tasted chocolates, pastries and other delicacies, and learned a lot about the history and culture of the area. We went into shops and down little alleys we would never have discovered on our own. It felt like a wonderful "off the beaten path" tour with a well-loved local. Her tour was one of the highlights of our time in Paris. We took several tours from individual guides highly recommended on Tripadvisors, and Solene stands out as the best of the bunch. Highly recommend!

Very nice low key tour

Very charming tour of a less visited area of Paris. We greatly enjoyed our time and the goodies were delicious

Fabulous Bastille stay

Bluebenji2004, Dec 2024

First time staying in the Bastille area and we’ve loved every minute and we will stay here whenever we come to Paris. Perfect location to get to the centre of Paris. The bars, restaurants, cafes and atmosphere is fabulous - the are happy hours in most of the bars and restaurants from 5pm - 9pm and the food choices are incredible - every cuisine you can think of and prices you can afford too. I’d recommend anyone coming to Paris to stay here

Informative and pleasant!

Wtraveler, Dec 2024

We enjoyed spending the morning with Solene. She took us to the hidden gems of the quarter. We saw artisans working in their shops, hidden passages and we learnt about how Paris is encouraging old professions to persevere and survive. The viaduc and the promenade was awesome so was the canal ST.Martin The Aligre market was lively and it did not hurt to have the tastings along the way. Highly recommended
