An Outstanding Overview of Arles

This was a wonderful tour. With a strong emphasis on the long history of Arles, our guide, Romain, walked us through the many Roman buildings and edifices spread throughout the city, which included the theater, colosseum, catacombs and baths. We were also provided in-depth commentary on Van Gogh's life in Arles, and visited the important places in his life's story. Although scheduled as a 3-hr tour, our guide extended it by an additional half hour to cover everything he thought we should see. I highly recommend this tour.

Romain was not only engaging but also knowledgeable and courteous. Our one-on-one time with him gave us an historical and cultural perspective that greatly enhanced our appreciation of the rich heritage this region. We were glad to have chosen this for one of our mornings in Arles.
