We made a 2-hour guided tour of “La Balaiterie”.

This visit was very interesting. We learnt that the owners perpetuate an ancestral tradition of manufacturing very fine and colorful brooms, made with sorghum. The owner who is passionate to do that work and fascinating by transmitting his knowledge. During this amazing visit, we learned a lot about: growing sorghum, dyeing sorghum straw fibers and making brooms, dustpans and brushes of different sizes.

We finished the tour, by visiting by wood craft museum

I highly recommend the visit of “La Balaiterie”.

Hidden gem

The family were so welcoming, we did a tour of the broom making and the wooden items. Also got to see the house and river, very welcoming

A fantastic experience.

A wonderful experience.

Marie-Laure and Arnaud could not have made us feel more welcome. The story of their business and the goods they produce is fascinating. We were treated to a very personal and highly detailed account of their beautiful products as well as the background details of how they started out. Their experiences and knowledge gathered from around the world is remarkable and their passion is contagious. Anyone who is interested in crafts will love the whole experience.

As a bonus, the wooden collection is extraordinary!

But what a beautiful visit

We had the pleasure of being guided by the Le Monsieur des lieux

This gentleman tells you with passion not his job BUT his hobby

After receiving the explanations on the making of the brooms we went to his hangar where we do not know where to lay our eyes what wonders everything is made of wood I would say no more you must go and out of respect for the place and the Flights

Then we headed to the SAANE a wonder this river in his property

Thank you for this very nice visit

As a reminder I bought you a broom

See you soon
