    Stop atMusee d'Orsay

Paris’ other museum, the Musée d’Orsay, is the perfect complement to the Louvre. With your private guide, begin your tour through this converted Beaux-Arts train station with skip-the-line admission. Inside, explore the artistic movements that led up to Impressionism and its colorful works. See Manet’s scandalous Luncheon on the Grass and Renoir’s Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette. Discuss with your guide the artists who preceded the Impressionists, like Millet and 'the Gleaners,' as well as those who followed, such as Post-Impressionist artist Van Gogh, whose Bedroom in Arles is on display. And, of course, check out works by the father of Impressionism himself, Claude Monet, including his famous poppies. Learn about the art evolution and personalities that went into creating the Impressionist movement, and understand why these seemingly simple works were so revolutionary at the time. By the end of your tour, you'll have learned about techniques used by the artists, seen both the highlights and lesser-known gems of the Orsay, and admired the beautiful architecture of the museum itself.

Incredible Tour Guide Experience

Julie_J, Dec 2024

Our tour guide Christina was AMAZING. Her super powers of mixing knowledge, story telling with passion and wit made for an incredible experience. My tour of D’Orsay was one of my most treasured memories of Paris.

Exceptional

Christine was wonderful! She was a very knowledgeable guide. This tour did not disappoint! A must see if you’re visiting Paris!

Worth having a guide!

Kim_T, Dec 2024

The trip through the Orsay was challenging at times due to the crowds, but our guide (we can’t recall her name, but she was pregnant. Liliane?) was a total expert at navigating us around to all the most important works we wanted to see. She introduced us to some artists from the pre-impressionist period which were unknown to us. Her background in and love of art history made our tour fascinating. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our museum visit. I would highly recommend having a personal guide take you through the Orsay to get the most of your experience.

A Must Do!

Joanne_C, Dec 2024

Hugo was our guide and he was amazing! He has a way of talking about the artists and the art pieces shown to us that was enlightening, and we learned a great deal. It's hard to put into words how his passion transformed the way we viewed the works, and we walked away with a different perspective that still lingers to this day. If you decide to do this tour, ask for Hugo!

Grateful for the knowledgeable guide

We had such amazing experience. Started as a shared tour ended up being a private tour! We learned a lot about art and had time to see a great deal too.

You need a week to actually see everything so the few hours were very well spent.
