They never showed up

Our tour was cancelled because they needed a flight number. I thought I gave it. Turns out I gave the wrong one. Communication was not timely enough for me to correct my mistake so when we arrived on-time at the pre-agreed upon time, no one was waiting for us. I tried contacting the Viator customer service, the Welcome Pickups (third party vendor) who told us yet another party was who we needed. The message app was useless also; no one responded. I finally had to cancel and we found the local tourism kiosk at the airport terminal arranged a spur of the moment tour for us. They were fantastic. Viator and Welcome Pickups were a colossal disappointment.

Poor experience

Disappointed in the communication with this company with very poor customer service. I input my flight info at the time of reservation and also notified them a day in advance via message that our flight would be delayed by an hour. Despite this, the driver showed up at the original landing time and then marked me as a no show and left after waiting 20 minutes. When I landed and reached out and he notified me of this, I responded that I had messaged them yesterday and also provided our flight info for this very reason, and the response back to me was that this is “your fault” because he didn’t see my message and somehow the reservation had also been created for a hotel by the airport instead of the airport. I called customer service to see if they could send another driver, who kept pulling up the incorrect reservation and told me she would need two minutes to look into it, but instead hung up on me and then stopped picking up when I tried calling back. Needless to say, the whole thing felt very much like a scam. I am sure I am not the first person with a delayed transatlantic flight or this experience, so be forewarned and consider looking somewhere more reliable. Communication prior to the trip was also very poor.

Tour guide never showed up

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. We had a 12 hour layover in Paris and thought this would be the perfect way to see the highlights in such a short time. I paid up front, received inquiries from the tour company (fight time, airline, etc) but when I reached out to ask about pickup location, no response. I reached out to Viator the day before the trip to confirm everything since I hadn't received a response from the local tour company and they ensured me everything was set. We land in Paris, no tour driver. I spend 2 hours on the phone (@ .25 a minute since I'm now using my phone internationally) calling the tour operator and Viator, waiting on hold etc. for Viator to say they're unable to reach the tour company, they'll have to request a refund. So after prepaying 660.00 for a 4 hour tour, no one showed up, I spent additional money waiting on hold, we rented a car for the day (340.00) instead so we weren't just stuck at the airport for 12 hours. Awful and stressful way to start our trip.

Our host/driver Farid was great! Wonderful communication before our tour, and was very knowledgeable about the city showing us both the big sites and also pointing out small things that we never would have known about. Give this a try if you have the time in Paris and don’t want to try to navigate it yourself!
Hard to Understand driver's English.

I expected more a guided tour where the river would talk to us about where we were and what we were seeing. He did not speak understandable English so the experience was less that I expected.
