Visit to Paris with my elderly mother!
Bodegadog, Dec 2024
I recently went on a tour with my elderly mother. Emanuel and Michael were our guides. We had the BEST time!!! What a great way to see the sights of Paris without having to walk, but in such a fun way! My mother had the best time!! Our guides were so kind with assisting my mother; they really took care of all of her needs and never complained!! I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends!! I will also do it again next time I am in Paris!!! Thank you Emanuel and Michael for such an amazing experience!!!
City Break in Paris Monday 1 - Friday 5 July 2024

City Break Paris Monday 1- Friday 5 July 2024.
We(my sister and myself) set off to Paris on the Eurostar train from London St.Pancras International at 5.30pm on the Monday evening, and we arrived in Paris at Gare Du Nord Station at 8pm, and from the train station, it was a short walk to our hotel The Angleterre Hotel, when we arrived there, we were checked in by a very helpful receptionist Riyad who handed us a signing in book, and gave us our room key, no.49 on the fifth floor of the hotel, ( fortunately the hotel had a lift that was working).
While we were in the hotel, our plan was to use the hotel as a base, for seeing the sights of Paris, and to that end, Riyad the receptionist gave my sister a tourist map of Paris, which had three smaller maps on it, a street map of the area around the hotel, a map of the bus stops in the area, if we wanted to use buses to get around, and a Paris Metro map,on which Riyad had circled the nearest Metro station to the hotel, which turned out to be very useful, as we decided to use the Metro to get around Paris for sight-seeing.
Over the next three days, we both did a lot of walking and seeing, we saw the Arc de Triomphe, we walked along the Champs Elysees, we went to the Louvres Museum, (my sister wanted to see this in particular, it was very very good), we saw the Paris Bourse (the Stock Exchange) we saw the National Library of France, we saw Notre Dame Cathedral, we went on a river cruise of the Seine, we saw the National Army Museum near the Louvre, on thew river cruise we passed the National Assembly Building( the French Parliament) and the Tuileries Gardens, near the Louvre Museum, using the Metro was straight-forward using our Metro map.
After each day sight-seeing we went back to the hotel, and in the evenings we saw another receptionist, Salim, who was also very helpful to us.
Overall this trip was very good, and if you have or get a chance to visit Paris, both of us highly recommend it.
A BLAST with Thierry!

This is a MUST! I sat behind our guide Thierry while my 12 year old sat in the sidecar. It was a blast while getting to see all the highlights of Paris. Thierry took extra time and care which was much appreciated!!

Responses from Julien G
"Hello Michael,
The tour you selected on trip advisor has in fact a meeting point at Invalides. Its our classic 40 mn essential highlights tour where seeing all that sites can only be with a start at this meeting place.
Our others tours, starting from Great Escape (90mn), offer pick ups.
You decided to cancel your tour with us on your own after asking us if pick up was possible. You never mentionned rain at any time in our exchange.
We are disapointed to have this feedback from a customer that was never on board with us.
We will be glad to make you change your mind by riding around Paris in a sidecar.
