We are a group of six wine lovers exploring new oenological territory, this time in the Languedoc, France.

The website and the offer described there sounded very promising, With a price tag of €99 we were confident to receive excellent service, food, wine, tour and hospitality.

Service: Joe was a great host, trying to make us fell at home. The pouring’s were generous, and questions asked were discussed.

Food: The first course was tasty, and colourful. The second course was rather disappointing: three pieces of meat (chicken, pork and veil) with some crushed potato. For this amount of money, we expected a generous cheese platter for dessert, as it is custom in France, but that was it… :(

Wine: The white wine was new to us, not a wow - experience, but something new.

The reds were average, but not commented or explained. Quantity tasting (many generous pouring's) was more important then the focus on quality, depth and character)!!

Tour: Was OK, but not overwhelming. A few steel-tank tastings and learning that the winery is on the way downhill - many hectares have been eliminated - made clear, that the day of this winery are counted…

Hospitality: Besides the fact, that the food was average and cheese platter would have been an appropriate closing to the visit, the end of our time at the winery was very unfriendly and rude. Liz, Joe’s partner, ordered the Uber for the other guest, before anyone was ready to leave, turned the AC and the light of and “helped us get out of the door quickly.

There would be things to comment and further explain here.

But the purpose of this negative review is

A) To avoid spend €99 for a experience worth half the price.

B) To encourage Joe and Liz not to ruing the life’s achievement by overpricing and underdelivering.

C) Adjust price and what you are still able to offer

D) Earn less, but have happy customers

Joe kept us informed and entertained throughout our visit to his vineyard. He is very knowledgable and has an easy way of communicating. It doesn't hurt that the wine is pretty good too, and he kept our glasses full. We had a fun night and would recommend

This tour was simply incredible. The wine tour itself was laid back and relaxed, and Joe was very informative and passionate which was great to see. The food was simply stunning and the back drop was unimaginable. The wine itself was amazing and all in all the tour was 100% worth it! Liz made sure we didn’t go hungry and the food was amazing!

Booked a wine tour with friends. We had such a wonderful time. Joe and Liz were fantastic hosts we had such a laugh with Joe on the tour his is so knowledgeable and generous with his explications to meat lovers of drinking wine.

We finished with more wine and food prepared by Liz which was delicious.

Oh and the wine was beautiful. We had a wonderful time. Liz and Joe are welcoming hosts I would highly recommend a visit.
