Go.city museum passes honest review.

E1142QBjoanna, Dec 2024

My honest opinion about this pass is, it’s only meant for public /government museums only( we only found out after we started using it). These government museums are often located far apart, it’s not possible to cover too many in 1 day. So if you have a limited time in Paris ( for us 3days) it’s best to buy/cook tickets directly from the private mediums. Most of better quality museums are privately owned. Even for government museums, a lot of them require you to pay extra to access some of the exhibits or pay extra for audio assist devices. So unless you planned to see general exhibits, it’s not worth paying for Gocity museum pass.

I personally felt it was all a waste of money, since we have to be out of pocket for most of the places.

Hope Gocity will do better in the future and include the quality exhibits into their passes.

Decent deal, bad service

Bad customer service

Most of the time you are talking to a bot which doesn't have the correct info and even if you escalate to a live agent they will not take responsibility for the wrong info given by the bot.

Pass didnt work and refused a refund

976ebonyc, Dec 2024

We bought a Paris all inclusive pass + museum pass for our stay during the Olympics, gocity failed to mention that every attraction we tried to enter would actually be closed or blocked off by police with only access given to residents. The one museum that was open (the Louvre) our pass would not download properly or scan so we would in fact need to pay on the door either way. For almost 3 weeks we have been trying to get this refunded however they claim as we downloaded the pass (which did not work) we are not eligible for a refund so we are now £408 euros down to have not been able to access a single attraction. Customer service is atrocious and they blatantly ignore whatever you say to them and just spout from a script in response to your emails or calls.

WORST Paris travel app

patrickwG8627VG, Dec 2024

Absolutely the worse service in the world you can't talk to a sales or technical representative and the app works so slow and make Absolutely no sense. They don't tell you the pass isn't good fot anything basically and 400.00 for a 2 day pass is highway robbery. I can't use this thing at all have to buy a new pass everytime I go somewhere. Complete waste of money. There a scam

Not worth the money. Charged full prices when knew there were closures and restrictions due to Olympics!

Jamie_Notts86, Dec 2024

Due to closures from the 18th July we could access three of our planned bookings. How they can charge full price knowing this is beyond me. The reservation for the Louvre was pointless as we need a museum pass and city pass was pointless and all police asked for an Olympic pass to access areas where the attractions were! We have used this before and it was very good however this time the communication has been shocking when the company know the Olympics would decrease value of pass. Not happy at all.
