Great experience

This tour was excellent! Whether it is your first time in Paris or your 10th, I recommend it to everyone. James was a great tour guide. His knowledge, friendliness, and love for Paris were evident throughout the tour. The added touch was getting photos taken of myself during the tour by James, who is a professional photographer. 12 out of 10 stars!
Great Walking Tour!
Alexander_C, Dec 2024
James was an excellent tour guide and shared constant communication with us from booking all the way until our time in Paris was complete. We were so fortunate for James sharing his knowledge of Paris with us on our first day in Paris. If you are debating doing this tour, select yes, because it was truly a great opportunity to learn, see, walk, and do. This is an active tour so please lace up your tennis shoes. 😊
Paris not just for beginners, but for seasoned veterans too
WilsonL4444, Dec 2024
Ah, Paris. The city of light, love, and endless possibility. A place where every corner turned reveals another secret, another story, another taste of the extraordinary. And what better way to start a journey through this fabled city than with a tour designed for beginners? A walk that promises not only the must-sees but the hidden gems, the insider tips, and, most importantly, the moments that make you fall in love with Paris all over again.
I recently had the chance to embark on a "Private Paris Beginners Walk with Photos" – an experience that sounded almost too perfect to be true. I approached it with the usual mix of skepticism and excitement. After all, Paris is a city that has been written about, filmed, and photographed from every angle. What more could a tour offer?
Quite a lot, as it turns out.
Our guide James, a veritable encyclopedia of Parisian history and culture, met us with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm. The kind of person who makes you feel like you’ve known them forever and who knows the city like the back of their hand. From the very start, it was clear this was no ordinary tour. This was a labor of love.
We began our walk in the heart of Paris, surrounded by the iconic architecture and the hum of the city. The guide’s stories brought the streets to life – tales of revolution, romance, and the everyday lives of Parisians throughout history. It was like stepping into a living, breathing history book, with each turn of the page revealing a new adventure.
The highlight, though, wasn’t just the famous landmarks – though we saw plenty of those. It was the unexpected detours, the little-known spots that only a true insider would know. The tiny bakery with the best croissants, the quiet courtyard where locals escape the bustle, the quirky street art that tells a story all its own. These were the moments that made the tour truly unforgettable.
And then there were the photos. Not just snapshots, but beautifully composed images that captured the essence of our journey. The guide was not only a storyteller but a skilled photographer, ensuring we had keepsakes to remember our adventure by. It’s one thing to see the Eiffel Tower – it’s another to have a photo of yourself there, perfectly framed against the morning light, looking for all the world like you belong.
But beyond the sights and the stories, what made this tour special was the feeling. The sense of connection, not just to the city, but to its people, its past, and its ever-evolving present. The guide’s passion for Paris was palpable, and by the end of the tour, it had become our passion too.
This wasn’t just a tour; it was an initiation. A welcome into the heart of Paris, with all its beauty, complexity, and charm. For anyone new to the city – or even for seasoned visitors looking to see it with fresh eyes – this walk is a must. It’s a reminder of why we travel in the first place: to be surprised, to learn, and to fall in love with the world all over again.
So here’s to Paris, and to the adventures that await on every street corner. And here’s to the guides like James who make those adventures possible, turning a simple walk into a lifelong memory. If you’re heading to Paris, do yourself a favor and take this tour. You won’t regret it.
MADE OUR TRIP MEMORABLE

The stuff you read about in all the guide books and online blogs don't give the experience James provides. You learn and see things that make your trip arguably one of the most memorable visits. James has a communication style and warmth about him that my entire family loved. He became like a family member at the end and we were just so lucky to have him as our guide. A+ recommendation!
Great way to start the journey!

The walk along the Seine River was so beautiful! We saw all the major landmarks, but I especially enjoyed the hidden gems James pointed out, we would have missed out quite a lot without him. James was a knowledgeable and fun guide. He shared fascinating insights into Parisian history and culture, all delivered with a touch of humor so it was entertaining. I love that he’s a local and could advise on practical things too like transport. We took a ton of photos - James even gave us tips as a pro photographer! I felt very cared for, and now I’m confident I’ll make the best out of the rest of my trip.
