9 people Cramped in a Car and Poor Wine !

We booked the “Tasty Lyon” Beaujolais wine tasting tour with the Viator tour company. We drove almost an hour to the first winery cramped in a car with 9 people shoulder to shoulder. Once we got to the winery, we did the tour on our own. We were told us to go downstairs and we could take a wine “test” to learn about the wines. It was cumbersome so we went upstairs and did the do it yourself wine dispenser tastings. We liked only one or two of the Beaujolais wines. We could have gone to this winery on our own and did not need the tour guide.
The best part of the winery was the beautiful gardens. Next we went to a smaller winery and sat around a table and tasted several wines and all of them were not good.
The tour guide was new to the wine tasting tour and spoke to a few people but not much to the group.
This was a very disappointing tour and would not recommend it.

Such a great experience. The two venues were very different from one another which I appreciated. The wine was great and our guide was very informational. The others on the group were great and fun company.

Visit to the cellar was the most memorable part of the wine tasting trip.
The wine tasting experience to the beaujolais vineyard could have been better had their expert accompanied us during the tutorial session.

Excellent short tour into the French countryside north of Lyon. Pleasant visits to two well established wineries. Yann was great guide and source of useful information.
