Sensation paragliding flight over the magnificent Lake Annecy

IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! The instructors were so amazing. They walk you through everything and are so cool and friendly. Talk you through everything and joke around with you. Also, the lift off is so safe and thorough but don’t give you the time to freak out. I felt safe and in awe the whole time. Amazing views!!! The landing was also so so smooth! I would recommend this experience a thousand times over! My instructor also gave us recommendations of where to go to eat that has a great view, amazing food and not too expensive. I’m legit obsessed and will forever remember this experience! Thank you so so much!

The highlight of my trip! What an amazing feeling to glide over beautiful Lake Annecy under the lead of a professional instructor. The descent was exhilarating and the views were epic.

I signed up through Trip Advisor. The Sensation Paragliding is run through Takamaka, Annecy. They have a location in the Old Town Annecy. Glad I went there a few days before my reserved time. Turns out you actually meet the guides in Doussard at the Takamaka Chalet. This area has 4 other paragliding businesses, all next to each other. There was no one manning the booth for Takamaka the day I was there and another representative from another company told me the guides would show up eventually.

I arrived 30 mins early before my appointment. I did call the Takamaka offices and was told that unfortunately, there was a car accident on the road to Doussard and the van with the 3 Paragliding guides was in traffic for another hour plus. Finally the other gliders and I got up to the launch area, an hour and half after my original appointment time.

The guide I had, Sylvan, was very experienced and had been Paragliding professionally since 2005, so I felt safe. He did a good job. The flight is only about 15 mins, but it was a great view over Lake Annecy and I am glad to have gone. When you do land from the starting point, you are asked if you want your video and pictures of your experience. It's another 30 Euros.

My suggestion would be to check out a few of the Paragliding places and compare. I think it's slightly cheaper to sign up when you're in France. Or so I heard from another person who flew at the same time as I did.
