Bravo Colmar Chocolate Museum!

Fantastic interactive museum for everyone! Don't miss this opportunity to visit, learn, play and sample several different kinds of chocolate. The museum is wonderful and very well done.
Great value fun

Great experience designing & making our own chocolates today .. it was nice simple fun for the whole family and worth the admission alone in taking your chocolates home !
Do anything else...take a nap...this is awful.

Don't waste your money-buy chocolate and move on. This "story" was a series of small screens describing the growing process of chocolate. Each screen's audio accessed by use of a handheld device. Story was not interesting, a few slightly interactive experiences and the screens were right next to each other. There was no active demonstration and one activity/show to watch was three mannequins with one whose "face" was not working. I wish we'd read more or asked to look inside prior to buying tickets because I'd rather have my money back than pay to walk around looking at tv screens. We skipped most of it and left wishing we'd done just about anything else. I'd have asked for our admission back but the staff was busy making hot chocolate for a large group.
Good for when it rains in Colmar

We spent about two hours here. The interactive bits you could play games on were fun enough. Museum very in depth about history of chocolate. There was a couple spots where you could taste some chocolate but it was just standard milk/dark/white and just tasted like cheap calendar chocolate so wasn’t anything really special. We’ve been to another chocolate museum in the past and they had tastings of different chocolate blends which was more interesting. They also handed you a little packet of two chocolates, one praline and one not so nice one (couldn’t make out what it was). Not a bad way to kill some time in Colmar and not expensive either
Much more than a Chocolate Museum

We were ‘pleasantly surprised by the depth of information offered by this attraction. Yes, there were tastings but also a discussion on how it has affected global trade, employment and shaped much of our diet over the last few hundred years.
