Enjoying the best that Paris has to offer

Z5358SHbarryl, May 2024

This is the third time we enjoyed tours around Paris with Richard Nahem. His tours, which included Montmarte and the Marais in the past, are excellent and filled with history and enjoyable discussions of local significance. Small details, such as joyful stops in local food emporiums (for free tastes) provide a delightful extra soupçon of enjoyment to Richard's most enjoyable company.

Heartfelt recommendations to all who want to spend time not just seeing the sights, but coming away with the spirit of Paris, its culture, and its meaning to Western Civilization.

Living like a local!

Richard was a wonderful tour guide! The moment my husband and I met him, we grabbed some breakfast and I felt like we were old friends reconnecting. He took us to a great café and then walked us around Montmartre and showed us everything we wanted to see and more! The best part was learning and uncovering things we didn’t expect! Then he took us over to Le Marais, which was an area I hadn’t thought about going to, but the streets and sites were amazing. All of the art galleries and everything he took us to and showed us. I highly recommend spending time with Richard during your stay whether it’s your first, second or 10th time visiting Paris!

Great, laid back tour that felt like being with a very knowledgeable friend

This was an excellent tour--very relaxed and informative at the same time. I felt like I was walking and chatting with a very knowledgeable friend. I also liked that he gave us time to stop into cafes and stores--we bought the best baguette in Paris, some great chocolate, and started the tour off with a latte at a local cafe. We went off the beaten path to walk through some quiet streets in Montmartre that I would never have seen on my own. Loved it! Highly recommend.

Fabulous afternoon tasting and exploring Monmartre!!

We had an incredible tour that we felt was custom made for our interests and enjoyment. There was the perfect balance of background and contemporary perspective as we strolled the streets, checked out shops, and learned about the neighborhoods and their past and present inhabitants in a thoughtful and interactive manner. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend the afternoon and will be encouraging all my friend visiting Paris to make time for a tour with Rich!!.

Even Better than I'd Dreamed

While this was my seventh visit to Paris, my son, his wife and my 19 year old granddaughter had, at best, a day or two prior Paris experience. Starting seven months ahead of our planned visit, we began our “got to see/visit” list of Paris sites. I’d “met” Richard via his Eye Prefer Paris blog starting about five years ago. He and I had already exchanged emails regarding my love for Paris so when exploring our options for a tour guide for our June visit, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind who I’d choose. Others of Richard's tour guest have already commented on the specific sites they visited with Richard, but I want to let everyone know how Richard exceeded our expectations. First by showing up in a large, air conditioned Mercedes van with a driver. This allowed Richard to sit with us and share his extensive knowledge of each site visited as well as some general history of Paris. If I’d written the scrip for exactly what I wanted, there would be nothing I’d add to the actual tour fulfillment. Since my return to Atlanta, I’ve already shared Richard’s contact information with multiple friends and relatives who have plans to visit Paris. Richard gets “two thumbs up” in my book.
