Nice man very knowledgeable and accommodating. Worked at our pace and was a very good communicator. Prior to tour and during the tour.

I wish I could give it an even lower score. We arrived at the designated address early and stayed there an additional 30 minutes. No tour guide showed up. I complained to Viator and they said the tour guide marked US off as a no show. I have picture proof of me at the address and the time stamp of the sites. Yet Viator chooses to believe the tour guide and will not refund out money. If you are smart, you will NOT book this tour. It was a terrible waste of hard earned dollars. Kast time I will even book with Viator.

We apologize for not responding to this review earlier as we are not automatically notified about Trip Advisor reviews. I am sorry that your tour was not carried out as planned. We do our very best to have a smooth tour confirmation process but there are certain aspects of the process over which we do not have control. The Lokafyer assigned to you did not check his emails to see the tour confirmation email that we had sent to him despite informing us that he was available to conduct the tour. As you can imagine, the Lokafyer not checking their email is not a factor that we can possibly control from our end. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. We have offered you a full refund and hope the matter in resolved as such.

Visiting from a cruise ship, my mother (85) and I hired Christian, a local guide and he was perfect. We were interested in the local culture and what is more important to understand that than the history of the city. Our guide had books with photos showing old maps of the city and photos of the bombings of WWII. We invited him to lunch and he chose a lovely crepe restaurant that was the best meal of my vacation so far! He was warm and personable and I felt he was truly interested in helping us to see LeHavre like a local

We travel a lot and have taken many tours. This was the first time I have ever rated someone this low.
She walked us to three churches, hardly ever talked, and when she did, she didn't seem to know anything about what she was "showing us". I think she needs to take a lesson"tour guide 101". Just because you live in an area and speak the language of the participants, that doesn't make you a tour guide.

I am sorry to hear that your tour did not go as expected. We would like to mention that the Lokafy concept is different than the traditional tour guides and we do not believe you can make a fair comparison, we try to insist as much as we can over our concept since it might not be suitable for everyone. We do offer a totally unscripted and personalised tour, so in case you would have sent us specific requirements we would have transmitted them to the assigned Lokafyer so that she could have taken them into consideration when planning tour.
As our website as well as all our information outlines, we do not provide professionally guided tours but rather our concept is to have locals conduct unscripted walking tours through a city just as a friend would. Lokafy allows travellers to connect with locals, and learn about the city from their perspective; things like: what it's like to live there, advice on their favourite restaurants and also connecting on a personal level.
Nevertheless, we are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations.
