Provencial cooking, so good
anikavalentina, Jun 2020
Kelly was awesome. Had a lot of fun cooking with people from all over the world. The meals were delicious and easy to made at home also.
Worth every penny

Wonderful experience. If you want to learn to make dishes that will WOW your family and friends this is the class to take. Kelly is lovely!
Fun Day in a Provencal Kitchen
rocketrio, Nov 2019
This cooking class and meal exceeded my expectations! As an American expat, Kelly speaks English and sprinkled our lesson with Provencal customs and histories and perspectives that you won't get from a guidebook. The cooking class itself is laid back and fun; no hand-slapping here although Kelly can tell stories of her experiences learning under French chefs. Less you worry that this experience will not be "French enough" for you, Martine (a native of Beaumont de Pertuis) teaches alongside Kelly in precise and slow French, bestowing on us all that elusive Provencal magic.
The menu for the day included dishes that I could easily recreate at home without having to order ingredients from Amazon. In fact, we are planning to prepare the tomato and onion tarts for our Thanksgiving guests. As a cook who occasionally adds some of her own blood into dishes I prepare, I appreciated both Kelly's and Martine's watchfulness as I learned to operate the mandolin (new kitchen tool pour moi!).
And the meal we shared at the long table that is from Philippe's (Kelly's husband) family was like being invited into their home. May I confess that I was growing fatigued from the fancy restaurant fare we had been eating? I relished this hearty and more simple meal that included dishes that Martine may well cook for her own extended family (there's a story there too!). My husband's response to the gustatory feast were were wordless vocalizations of delight and awe that we wish we could have recorded and included in this review.
And then we made Oreillettes! And Martine even chuckled at my attempt at a joke in French! We hope to return to La Belugue next year in Provence because this was one of our most happy experiences during our sejour. I cannot recommend this event any higher.
