Authentic Bakery; not much of an experience

It's a good thing this is a small group experience, since there is very little room to maneuver in an authentic French bakery. There were 9 people at the session (including 2 children) and it was a very tight fit! The stairs (both up and down) were steep and tiny - not advisable for large folks or anyone with mobility issues. It was interesting to see some of the machinery used for mixing and baking, but we didn't get to see the whole process which was disappointing to me. We simply got to roll out some prepared dough into baguettes and croissants. Since the space was so tight, we had to take turns and there was a lot of standing and waiting. We did receive our freshly baked baguettes to take away, but not the croissants.

I very rarely write reviews but had to for this because it was such a brilliant experience. I took my 9 year old and 7 year old and they had a fantastic time. We had breakfast on arrival - chose coffee, the children orange juice and were given more pastries than we could eat. We then made bread and cakes to take home and rolled croissants too. Our guide made the whole thing really fun for all of us and the food was all delicious. I can strongly recommend this as a family activity in Paris

This was a remarkable tour experience! We surprised my 8 yo on her birthday expecting to see how bread was made (baking is her favorite thing) but it was so much more - all of the baking, insights, bakery behind the scenes and our guide Morad who was the BEST! We loved the experience and made a ton of baguettes we shared with friends the next day. Wonderful experience.
Communication is Key and they don’t have it

The tour organizer never provided a location. I messaged them on Viator and WhatsApp multiple times with no response. I also reached out to Viator customer service with no solution and therefore was unable to attend. My money has not yet been refunded. I was really looking forward to this experience and was quite disappointed.

The behind the scenes bakery experience was amazing! Mourad was such a great host and brought so much enthusiasm and knowledge to the experience! He was wonderful with our girls! We went home with bags full of yummy bread and pastries. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
