Half Day Omaha Beach tour 9/1/2024

MARK_S, Dec 2024

Guide Theo was extremely knowledgeable and explained the battles with maps and photos on site. He also had a personal family involvement in the Battle of Normandy. Well recommended!

Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and a good speaker

Very informative and interesting. Guide very knowledgeable took his time and shared alot of facts. The places covered were very good to see.

A short but informative (and very moving) tour of major D-Day sites

BernieBX, Dec 2024

This was an extremely well-organized tour that visited Pointe du Hoc (where the Rangers made the initial landing), Omaha beach, and the American Cemetery. Our guide, Theo, was very personable and knowledgeable; he really brought the day alive, and was even able to share memories from his great-grandmother, who at the time was 14 years old and living just a few miles away.

You may have seen the movies and read the books, but you cannot begin to understand the immensity of D-Day and the experiences and sacrifices of those who fought there without visiting.

I wish we had been able to take a longer tour, but if you are coming from Paris on a day trip (like we were) this is the only option.

Memorable experience

westphillyboy, Dec 2024

Memorable experience. Always wanted to pay my respects to those who gave their lives. Very touching to hear the stories and see where the battle took place. Such courage and sacrifice. We owe them all a great debt of gratitude.

Our guide was so informative. Answered all of our questions. He was from Normandy and was also able to tell us about the town and French lifestyle. For only a half day tour they really provided a wealth of information. Strongly recommend without hesitation. Kudos to our guide (sorry, I don't remember his name. Glasses and beard from Normandy :-) )
