Beaujolais tour

Yann, our guide was really knowledgeable about the region, and the wines. The town we visited was gorgeous, and meeting Anne at her family winery was a great experience- and her wines were great!
Fun day, fell a bit short

We had a nice afternoon. The short drive out of Lyon into the picturesque countryside was lovely. The views were stunning. The first stop was high in the hills, with a beautiful view - it felt nice to be out of the city. The guide pulled out a bottle of red & white, we tasted, while he explained the local wine industry. It was pleasant. We then drove to the old town of Oingt (English pronunciation - WAH). Very cool old town, but deserted. It was buttoned up tight, no people, nothing was open, so it was hard to get a feel for the place. It felt like a movie set where the director had not yet called, "action"! (Flipside is that we could see how it would be the opposite experience if filled with tourists.) So, cool take, but a bit quiet - and no wine component. We then headed to a small winery to taste, learn, and meet the owner. Unfortunately the owner didn't speak English - she had a great personality and it would have been fun to hear her stories - we felt the guide's translation took away from the first-person experience. The wine was nice, but given they don't ship and we flying the next day we only bought a couple. A few sips, a bite of salami, cheese and bread and we were back to Lyon. Over all, nice day, but too pricey for an underwhelming experience.
Excellent guide, beautiful day, we enjoyed the tour.

The views were amazing and the wine tasting was different outside, we enjoyed a lot. The guide was very nice and dedicated her time to us so we could spend a veyñry nice afternoon.

Amazing day in Beaujolais! Francois was an excellent guide and shared so much knowledge and passion about the region and wine varieties. We drove through beautiful countryside, walked through a medieval village, toured a vineyard and saw the vines where our wine was grown. The wine we tasted was all phenomenal
A FAIRE ABSOLUMENT !
