Interactive, entertaining presentation of the eras. At times graphic, a bit sad and graphic, and others, a bit too light hearted, in my opinion.

What a waste of an opportunity. Overlooking the beach that saw the Mulberry B harbour built, the film is about the first 100 days after D-Day. A subject that is covered in other locations, and much better. Not a mention of the harbours. Yet this location is all about the harbours. Recommend - don’t waste your money. Unless they change the film. And be careful of the climb to the cinema, it’s very steep and punishing.

We have visited this cinema 5 times in the last 15 years or so, each time with different family members and friends. Originally, the film was effective and emotive. It showed the horrors of war, the noise of war, the destruction, the booming guns of the boats shelling the batteries prior to the invasion. It showed how it was during the landings and how it is today. Veterans talked of their experiences. "Some people can't imagine the horrors that took place here. Others, can't forget"

I looked forward to new visitors being impressed with it, but what did I get? A new film, no booming guns, no film of before and today, a basic history lesson which is better told at other venues throughout Normandie. It finishes with some upbeat, Elvis style song that is so disrespectful of the victims of war it has been put together by someone who has no emotional attachment to the events of the landings..

Please can you throw out this latest travesty, this amateur clap trap? Just admit what a huge error of judgement you have made and reinstate the emotive and respectful film of years gone by.

A complete waste of time and money.

On a trip to pay homage to the allied troops that participated in the D Day landings. They don't make em like that any more! The 360 cinema at Arromanches was great value for money and educational.

If you you want to know about the Mulberry Harbour and Normandy Landings look elsewhere. I assume the sadly skewed tripe we had to stand and endure for 25mins was assembled by some sixth formers on day release. This expensive installation is located at the actual site of the extraordinary Mulberry Harbour, arguably one of the most important engineering feats of the 20th Century, however you will not learn who designed it, how it actually got there or see much of the remaining infrastructure outside in use - in fact the British, apart from a minuscule quote from Churchill are hardly represented at all, possibly they were there but really didn’t do a lot (apart from design, build, transport snd erect the most important infrastructure of D-Day, securing the landings in the terrible storms that shortly ensued) - More time is spent with footage of sobbing French women who lost homes and loved ones in the distraction raids that preceded the invasion - massively outnumbered by the young blood of foreign allies who were to liberate them. The credits are played out for some bizarre reasons to an American Deep South black blues track which would have been unknown to all but the most avant guarde of the allied services. An expensive and uninformed load of tripe that could - and should be so much more. I suggest they employ adults and re-do the whole thing as it’s not worth a fraction of the E7.00 entrance fee.
